Far away from Soul Society and hidden in some dimension of warriors and gladiators alike, lies a coliseum of obvious uniqueness and untold powers. An arena capable of self repair within minutes to contain massive scale damage and monster level confrontations. Surrounding the main arena in the epicenter is a round 20m deep body of water randomly laced with protruding metal rods, an observant eye would easily sight multiple guard statues and the audience seats up ahead. Empty, it hadn't been used for centuries untold till this day, a collision course between two behemoth souls was sure to unravel. The future of this arena had promises of total demolition, or perhaps just another monster combat.

THE SKY LOOKED MALNOURISHED. It bore a sickly looking shade of blue that seemed far too inclined towards white than should be appropriate for the atmospheric canopy. Not a single gaseous cluster patched the pale blue canvas. It was barren. Cloudless. And bleak. There was a wetness to the air, shadowed by lingering petrichor. Evidence that heavy rain had fallen some time ago. Suddenly, something-a large blue shark-came plunging at high speeds towards the very epicenter of the gladiatorial edifice. The creature descended into the arena with a loud crash, exploding into a powerful wave when it impact. The surge of water later washed away, revealing a blonde haired individual crouched on the ground, trident in grip of hand. He rose upwards, back straightened, crimsoned eyes scrutinising his newfound environment. He had hoped to find Killy but instead several sculpted stone men-presumably warriors-found his sightline. He wondered if perhaps there was a subtle meaning behind their existence and placement. The arena was a wide disc filled with sand that rainwater had drenched. Deep clear blue water encircled the disc, giving it the semblance of a miniature island. Rods with spear points jut from the pool. Some surrounded the arena.

Kira took in fresh air, relishing the breath. Something about the ambient moisture of the place felt rejuvenating in a sense. It must have had something to do with the fact that the Zanpakutō and Shinigami duo possessed a strong affinity for water. From within, a feminine voice urged him to fixate on that moisture. Reach out towards it. And he did. All of a sudden he could sense them: Hundreds. No, several thousands of molecule sized water droplets interspersed in the atmosphere. The true form of moisture.

He extended his free hand and drew water from nothing. Specks of a misty substance vortexed within the palm of his hand, coalescing into an ameboid blob which in turn became a small sized sphere. The sphere expanded at his beckoning, gaining more mass. It grew to about the size of a person's fist. He burned a negligible amount of spiritual energy and soon the sphere solidified, freezing into a ball of colorless, transparent frigid ice. Once again he gestured in thought and this time the sphere dissolved, dissociating into a cloud of mist just before vaporizing back into nothing. Well, not nothing exactly but moisture, its true derivative substance.

The physics of Hydrokinesis, Sinbad's primary ability, is governed by 3 basic fundamental principles/laws. They are identified respectively as Sourcing, Augmentation and Flow. Sourcing is the power to conjure water, or more precisely procure water from matter in possession of it however minute the concentration. Water can be sourced from a wide variety of things such as, ambient moisture, clouds, plantlife, and even the very ground itself (groundwater). After water has been sourced, its sheer mass can then be increased drastically through an application of the Second principle- Augmentation. Augmentation is the power to magnify the volume of sourced water. When combined, both sourcing and augmentation (Also known as Conjuration during simultaneous use) can enable Kira generate vast amounts of water from seemingly thin air. Granting him the ability to fight undaunted in environments that are naturally detrimental to his Shikai. In conclusion, the Third principle, Flow, is simply the power to give water trajectory/direction, or a path to travel. Water can be flowed in any direction and not just in a downward gradient. Large volumes of water could be lifted and carried into the air, possibly even suspended, by means of flowing.

Using both hands, Kira lifted Sinbad then drove the three-pronged spear downwards with force, impaling the ground. He voiced out a word Sūikodan and azureblue energy instantaneously drained from his grasp. Coursing down Sinbad's full length before sinking into the sands. ''Since I showed up first, I might as well exploit that.''

''What's taking him so long anyways? I hope he hasn't forgotten about this,'' He retracted Sinbad from the ground then motioned to take on the ideal lotus position. ''The enemy grows stronger with each passing second. And if we are to defeat them, then we must learn our strengths. And weaknesses.'' A black curtain fell against his eyesight and his consciousness descended into an otherworldly realm. Kira had invoked Jinzen.

The field was parted in two by a shadow cast by the tall pillars to the left of the coliseum. A mixture of blackened, thick smoke moved so arrogantly upwards at the other end of arena, one mythically spawned from the very soul of the building as it tried to slowly rebuild itself over centuries unknown. Ropes and flags, connected the two ends of the field at overheads, while traces of the sun glittered from spaced reflections at varying corners. Still, the beauty of its magnificence can hardly be understood without the mention of its oceanic embrace, as the arena sited amidst the building possessed a calm and alluring body of fine blue water around its edifice. Flag bearing sticks, random pillars, rods and stone-made men, littered across the site as fine decorations. These were all Killy's eyes could see and take note of about his environment within his rather heightened perception, as he made his way into the arena with two nearly untraceable stops for those ignorant of speed crafts, first appearing at the left end of the arena and then at the seemingly destroyed portion before a third and final pause of motion in a seated position under the shaded portion of the arena's viewer point.

The wind blew against his heightened black collar long sleeved shirt and white shorts as he remained seated on the edge of his concrete seat, he was naively and psychotically excited. For today, he would be matching up against a comrade, one whom he once revered for his actions and fearless disposition in their mission against a set of vile Espada class hollows in the 8th Division some time in the past. However, he was now foe and needed to be expunged. He was already present within the great field, Seraph Kira.

Killy on the other hand, remained fascinated at how the blonde haired Seraph maintained a lotus position with closed eyes at the moment of his entrance despite knowing he would show up, perhaps he_Killy was being underestimated or ignorance chose to embrace the youthful figure at the center of the field this day.

Tied to his left arm was a piece of red clothing which served as a device to control his reiatsu from spiraling out of control, a means he employed for both stealthy approaches and loud reiatsu screams from otherwise great distances.

With a scarred face and multicolored eyes of ash and brown, Killy observed the trident held by the blonde haired man for a brief moment before finally deciding to speak with a smile. 'Shall we begin then?

HE SENSED... SOMETHING. Whatever it was, it caused the lid over his eyes to flicker. Alas they lifted. Enabling a pair of crimsoned irises gaze upon this world. His vision at first a blurred mess of botched images soon regained ideal clarity, gaze befalling the enemy; black spiky shoulder length hair, variantly pigmented eyes, and a face riddled in stubborn gash wounds. The kinds that lasted forever. The kinds that told tales. Scars. Yes, Killy Lohr was a scarred man, and he wore his particularly with pride. But why was that? Kira wondered. What message exactly were they supposed to convey? That the young Lohr was a survivor? That he'd squared off with death severally and each time denied it the satisfaction of claiming another? Kira scoured the vast expanse of his mindscape in search of a psychically photographed image of Killy from times prior and soon found one. The recalled memory revealed an armed Killy Lohr disrespecting an Espada's Cero by emerging from the blast skin barely scathed. Durability was one of the man's strong suits. Possibly his strongest. And yet where this flashback claimed Killy was difficult to harm significantly, the scars he flaunted begged to differ. For they testified to the notion that he in fact can be harmed, can be scarred, and was like every man else still flesh and blood. Hence, can be killed. The discovery aroused a smile that the blonde shinigami did well to hide.

''Shall we begin then?'' asked Killy.

Did he travel all this way on foot? It's quite an intimidating distance journeying from the Society of Souls to this place. Chances are he's probably trying to recuperate stamina. Too bad, I won't let him.

Rising to his feet with his head downcast and trident in hand, Kira would attempt to meet Killy's eyes then hold them for a split second before responding with a nod as if to say ''of course.''

''The 9th Way of Binding. . .'' After inaudibly identifying the Binding Spell, he struck out without warning. Stabbing the trident at naught but thin air. Before the tool's sharp points, a massive vortex of water blossomed. Spinning rapidly, it galloped forwards at tremendous speeds, albeit preceded by a crimsoned luminescence several times faster than itself. In no more than a second after its invocation, the Binding Spell crafted, Geki, would have breached melee range of its designated target (Killy) threatening to engulf even the man himself in its bloodied hue. Should all things be equal, the opposition would come to find his motor functions confiscated by the eerie light shroud; all forms of bodily motion completely inhibited with immediate effect. Kira might not have been a master Devil Craftsman, but his understanding of the Dark Arts sufficed to employ spells of the aforementioned calibre at their peak strengths regardless an abandoned incantation.

The conjured aqua vortex sped ahead, travelling perpendicular to the ground, and in the wake of its passage excavated a large section of the arena's grounds as testament to its kinetic might. The attack drew sustenance from its conjurer's phenomenal spiritual energy reserves, fueling its destructive potential to such an extent that its impact was bound to obliterate that entire region of the arena to which its coincidental target belonged and possibly him alongside. Though a simple probing strike intended to gauge the opposition, it was not to be scoffed at. The attack could easily pass off for an aqua version of the Hadō Spell Tenran. Judging from his understanding of his partner's combat mannerisms, the man would rather take an attack of this sort head on than avoid it as though he enjoyed the pain and in some distorted sense derived pleasure from it. Hopefully, that part of Killy hadn't changed. Through his minds eye, he anticipated a few counter responses to his maneuver. Now which one would he choose?

Regardless the turn out of events after the attack's collision, visibility within the coliseum and beyond would have instantaneously plummeted to zero following the emergence of a dense billowing vapor cloud, conjured from nothing. Amidst the gaseous obscurity, Kira's lips would then cleft to declare in a commanding voice ''Come to me.''

To Be Continued. . .

• Bakudō #9. Geki (撃, Strike) is a Kidō spell.

Description
As the practitioner draws the symbols of the spell in the air, his/her entire body permeates a red energy, which engulfs the body of the target, causing complete paralysis.

Name; Water Shark Canon (水鮫弾の術, Sūikodan)
Type; Active
Description; Kira can condense water into large, aqua blue sharks which propel themselves towards a target at high speeds then violently explode.
Image
Mechanism;
• Kira can project at least 5 sharks from his zanpakutō using casual gestures such as, swings and stabs.
• The reiatsu expense for creating a single shark is 4.0% Kira's energy reserves.
• The sharks can track objects by sensing the water within them.
• The sharks can travel through varying mediums.
• The nature of the medium itself affects the speed at which they can travel.
• In aquatic mediums, the sharks exhibit swimming speeds a level below Kira's base travel speed.
• In the atmosphere (air), the sharks exhibit swimming speeds 2 levels below Kira's base travel speed.
• It is inclusively plausible for the sharks to swim through the ground undetected without distorting its surface, by briefly turning the earth around their bodies to water and then simply tunneling through it. Underground, the sharks exhibit swimming speeds 3 levels below Kira's base travel speed.'
• The sharks would revert back to water should they stray beyond a certain range (50m) of Kira.
• The sharks possess oil cores which superheat rapidly then detonate upon the utterance of the vocal command ''Burst'' (Bakuhatsu).
• Upon detonation of their oil cores, the sharks would explode into skyreaching towers of extremely hot blue flames.
• In the eventuality that Kira fails to declare said vocal command, the sharks would instead deliver impacts of vast concussive force because of the momentum gathered.
• The sharks do not cope well with high amounts of thermal energy and may explode following exposure.
• The explosive power of a single shark can rival that of one full powered Shakkahō.
• Should Kira desire it, the sharks can coalesce into an even bigger entity. Therefore, compounding their explosive power and drastically improving it. However, this gimmick is reasonably energy taxing and would demand as much reiatsu expense as an high grade Hadō spell.

As his words got to the blonde shinigami, he watched the trident wielding death god raise his head to gaze upon him briefly before nodding in acknowledgement of his request. He had crimson colored eyes and held tightly unto his aquatic weapon. Though they had been through daunting tasks in the past together, one thing remained certain and unchanged, the fact that they knew little about one another. For most members of the 5th possessed either fluctuating and disturbing personalities or worrisome pasts which in turn has left them either mad or recovering, and as such, these two were no different, predictability was void in one such confrontation.

But before much could be said or conjured in thought processes, a crimson hue shrouded the aquaman and instantly the same red coloration was passed unto the seated death god, causing him to worry what this could be in one quick thought analysis, he came to convince himself it was one of the shinigami witchcraft which his father_Darius enjoyed using, and if for anything, he learned that the rapid increase of spiritual wealth was all it took to break free from most spell crafts of the nature. He was trapped and unable to move within the time frame of his thought, as a swirling wave of violent blue water shot from the tip of Seraph's trident towards his person, moving with anger and purpose designed to claim his head. It tore apart paved floor at great speeds but in its might laid its weakness. For through Killy's eyes, it lacked the speed to catch up. Finally releasing a portion of his suppressed reiatsu, the red invocation lost substance, unable to hold the scarred death god long enough, it gave way for true power.

Killy vanished a heart beat away from impact with the colliding wave, wrecked up seats and stone structures were the resulting effect of the blast initially aimed for Killy. Yet, as gentle as the breeze, Killy stepped foot into the coliseum's arena, directly faced with the aqua being though nearly 30m away, he would heighten the left corner of his cheek into a smirk as the resulting explosion sipped a foggy darkness all over the field at a rather astonishing pace, it enveloped.

Nonetheless, like a candle light burning through the center of a piece of paper, Killy had unleashed the full blunt of his reiatsu by tearing off the red cloth device tied to his left arm which served the purpose of keeping his reiatsu in check, something he couldn't do on his own. The blast which emanated from his reiatsu was so dense and violent it left a 3m deep crater in its wake, pushing off a large portion of the impeding fog cloud from its bothersome expanse up to 10m. "Come to me," were words spoken by the crimson eyed Seraph to Killy, perhaps interpreted as an act of defiance or a statement to show the confidence in his own strength. Killy would see to it that either he dies or Seraph does, as he spoke forth the command to unleash his sealed blade.

'Make them understand, Sakenomi no Arashi.'

Now assuming the stance of an athletic racer about to take off, Killy held his blade in his suspended right hand, while his left embraced the floor, and left leg bent in front of the right, a solid black substance would be seen covering the expanse of the floor on which he stood, stretching over a 40m radius, it would effectively create a paved arena made entirely of metal solid constitution. His gaze sparked off traces of blue lightning and two sword sized spikes of black metal would slowly materialize from the metal floor about 5m away on both his left and right side.
