Abandoned outdoor training ground: [Hidè vs Midori]

#1

Post by Tha Green » Wed Mar 15, 2017 9:36 am

Once an outdoor training ground now transformed into nothing but ruins. It's an outdoor training ground used thousands of years ago by former and now retired shinigamis.
With rusty equipments shrouded in thick layers of dust at the far edges of the perimeter and red sand covering the near-empty area.
Also a windy environment with occasional large gusts of wind that may make visibility hard. The sky is reddened from the lifted gust of wind giving the area a different feel from the rest of the second.

Added in 53 minutes 58 seconds:
Midori locates the old training ground which he discovered some days back after his spar with the 4th seat. After the fight Midori had been hungry for another training and was fortunate to get one with a man named Hidè.
Arriving with shunpo Midori's attire fluttered as he came to a stop. He was holding his zanpakuto in its sheath on his left hand but it wasn't strapped to his waist. Undoing his hood to reveal a tired shinigami.

"Hope he doesn't take too long"

Midori locates a nearby rock and slowly walks over. Briefly taking in the area's ancient look. The quietness was somewhat disturbing. Kicking up some red dust he decides to sit down on it while allowing his blade lean to his left shoulder after making it stand on the ground.
Memories of his past humiliating  fight came to him as he let out an irritated hiss.

Hidē, on his self-assigned quest to impress his captain and other seated officials in his squad after his failed mission with Aoshi had challenged Midori to a duel in the abandoned outdoor training ground, a room used thousand of years ago by former and now retired shinigamis.

Hidē leaves his quarters and begins to head to the abandoned training ground, thinking of ways to come out triumphant so as to impress the seated officials in his squad as he strolled there.

Minutes later, he arrives at an abandoned building with a broken signboard that said "Training Ground". He enters said building and is welcomed by cobwebs and training equipments heavily coated with dust.

He swipes his index and middle fingers on a training dummy, covering them with dust then rubs the two fingers against his thumb clearing the dust from his fingers.

He wanders around for a bit before finally arriving at a place where a reiatsu signature was stagnant, meaning the owner of the reiatsu must have been stagnant(Not moving/relaxing) at that moment.

He enters the room and sees someone with a hooded shiningami uniform and walks it.

"Sorry I'm late"
He says as he dusts off the cobwebs on his kimono

"Shall we get this over with?"
He asks with a serious look on his face as he holds his sheathed katana on the scabbard

Midori had a blank mind and had faded far away but was brought back by the presence of another.
"I guess he's here"
Turning his head to the direction the shinigami walks in, he sees a man dusting the cobwebs off his attire.

"Poor choice of location, I know. Couldn't move to avoid more dirt from getting on me"

He says this as he grabs his zanpakuto and gets up turning to dust his butt.
The man apologizes for his lateness which he wasn't and then with a change in aura signals the beginning of their fight.

"With pleasure"

Holding his zanpakuto in its sheath forward with left hand stretched out, Midori begins slowly pulling the blade out. Halfway out Midori bursts into a shunpo till he was arm's length away and pulls out his zanpakuto completely in a swing aimed at the right side of his lower torso while turning his scabbard till it was in a position like a second blade.

Hidē, with his hand on the neck of his scabbard and his other hand stretched out sideways, watches as his opponent stretches his hand forward and pulls his katana out of its sheathe half way.

He flicks the thumb of the hand(Left hand) on his sheathed katana with enough force to send it flying out of its sheathe as it hits the guard of the katana, sending it out of its sheathe as He swings his hand to the left and grabs the sword forcefully in the air and pulls the katana towards his right side to parry the swing aimed at his torso.

He points the index finger of his left hand at his opponent in conjunction with him parrying the swing aimed at his torso so that when the swords clash a considerable amount of Kinetic energy would be expelled from his index finger, to push the shiningami backwards Hadō No1: Shō.

Immediately their blades clashed Midori could feel a force push him a distance away. He tried to maintain his balance by bending his knees to create more grounding to avoid falling over. It was a fast thought reply.
"Nice. Let's try this again"

As he skid backwards Midori mutters till he finally comes to a stop for his attack to launch immediately.

"Hadou #4: Byakurai"

Pointing his index and middle fingers at his sword.

He hears Midori muttering as he skid backwards across the floor of the room. Then when he finally stops, a pale white lightning leaves his finger tips heading for him.

An orb forms at the back of his palm then he slaps it against the pale lightning, redirecting it to the ground which Midori stood on. Bakudo #8: Seki

He shunpos in front of him, his scabbard hanging in the air few inches away from his left hand and his index and middle fingers placed on the side of his katana as he swung it at Midori's neck, his hand welding the katana coming from below.

His two feet were off the ground and he was lying diagonally on the air, with his legs still pointing to the ground and his lips moving as he swung his hand.

Midori watched the shinigami repel his attack with seki.
His own attack was now headed towards him. Dashing sideways from the straight path the repelled byakurai took. Midori suddenly saw his opponent mid-air swinging his blade from below towards his neck.
With a grunt Midori bent backwards, hearing the swift sound as the lethal weapon went pass his neck. Midori could barely see it as the blade passed under his chin.
He followed up with a reiatsu-filled kick to his torso which would send him upwards.

Hidē still in mid-air watched as Midori dodged his katana. His lips stop moving as an orange-hued tendril with spiralling yellow patterns(Bakudo #9:Horin), shoots out from his index and middle fingers and slithers around his katana as he spins his body around and catches Midori's reiatsu-filled kick with his hand, already shrouded in his blue reiatsu.

The orange-hued tendril would wrap itself around Midori's body as Hidē held tight to Midori's leg while he spun to catch his kick. He releases his leg immediately he lands and gains balance

Midori felt his Foot connect but the outcome was not as he expected. He realized he was about to be enclosed in the Horin casted by his opponent. His opponent had held on to his leg to build time for the Horin to completely trap Midori.
This was trouble.
Midori decided to go in for another reiatsu filled kick with his free leg as he swung his body to throw the other leg at his opponent's head leaving both mid air.

Hidē, with his face turned towards the ground and Midori's reiatsu coated Foot coming for his face, quickly accesses the situation.

His hand still holding tightly to Midori's leg and his Hōrin still moving to wrap around Midori's leg.

His index and middle fingers still pointed out as he spins his katana, turning the blade downwards as he coats his hand and the hilt of the katana in reiatsu just before ramming it into Midori's incoming foot.

He'd land gracefully and pull Hōrin downwards, slamming Midori into the ground if it wrapped round his body.

Midori rammed his leg into the hand of his opponent. The shock pushed Midori's leg back with a feeling of harsh pain and numbness.
Hide lands a distance away and soon after Midori could feel the force of the hōri pull Midori by his leg to the ground.
Midori could almost taste dirt mixed with a little blood as the force shook his system a bit.
Fatigue began to kick in heavily, his vision blurred slightly as he quickly rose up on all fours and pointing his right hand's middle and index finger fired.

"Oh, Bloody Hell"
He said noticing his fatigue and Midori pointing his index and middle fingers at him as Hōrin slowly faded away.

"Dammit, looks like I'm running low on reiatsu"
He said in his head as an orb would form at the back of his palm which would deflect the pale lightning towards Midori just when it was close enough. Bakudō #8. Seki

"Looks like I wi-"
He didn't finish his sentence before his vision became blurry and he fell to the ground.

Midori's arm wobbled as he could barely keep them up after releasing the kido. His opponent countered with Seki.
Are you some kind of reiatsu mons....
His half hearted complement was cut short as the man fell foward. Midori was left in shock as sweat trickled from all angles of his face and arms. He swallowed his saliva and struggled to stand on two feet. As he got to his second feet, it finally kicked in.

huh? Oh no

Midori lost control of his entire being as he fell face first into the blackness.
