The Mandragora

Within Las Noches, lesser Hollows have come to notice that their things are missing. On top of that, those traveling to and from the fortress have been encountering traps and attacks by these pesky little guys. They may not look like much, but they're certainly much faster than the average Hollow.

They're hidden in an old, rundown castle not far from the Arrancar's fortress. Head due south and you'll find it within hours of your departure. The castle is underground, through a channel of caves. They aren't terribly difficult to navigate, however they can be time consuming for those who lack directional skills. You may encounter enemies along the way that can slow you down, but they will not deal significant damage.

You'll know you're drawing near their location when you see streams of water pooling over the edges of walkways, or here and there in waterfalls along the walls. Follow them and you'll come across a large stone door, and within you'll find the home of the Mandragora.

They will initially scatter, so you must be quick!

Note: Stats for the enemies will be posted with their entrance.

The eternal night sky of Hueco Mundo was, in Aliote's humble opinion, the only thing beautiful about the world of hollows. Sure there were beautiful and imponent constructions such as Las Noches but they didn't really appeal to him as much.

Maybe it was the moon ? After all it was the only source of light on their rather bleak existence and for many hollows who had long lost memories it was the only light they would ever know, a source of hope and comfort for their corrupted souls.

And it was for that reason alone that Aliote didn't mind having to walk for so long. It had been a couple of hours since the beast-like adjuchas had left Las Noches for his first mission. He was told to move south and to look for the entrance of a cave, not exactly the best directions but he was lucky to even get those. The marble white sand crunched underneath his feet, a slight breeze brushed by his mane and so far he hadn't been attacked by any rogue adjuchas. Which was strange but also encouraging.

It meant he was on the right track.

Apparently there were some pesky hollows plaguing this area and raising general hell by stealing stuff and attacking travelers. Which was a big no-no for Las Noches. But since they were just normal hollows sending an arrancar would have been overkill and thus Aliote had offered to get rid of them.

But still. The silence was a tad unnerving. Even more so since he had gotten used to having company at Las Noches.

The adjuchas sniffed the air, looking for any different scent and keeping his eyes peeled for movement. These hollows were tricky so he couldn't put it above them to booby trap the are around their entrance or just attacking him outright once he was close enough.

'Now where is that cave...'

'Maybe this was a bad idea after all...'

Aliote didn't have time to continue his mental rant as he was forced to dodge another barrage of tree shards. Normally such things would not be able to hurt an adjuchas but it seems that the ones he had been tasked to hunt were trickier than he had expected.

Somehow, they had managed to break the flimsy quartz trees that grew in the desert and harden the shards to use as artilery. The worst part is that they weren't even there to attack him. He had accidentally stepped on something of trap and makeshift slingshots had shot a barrage of shards at him.

"I swear I am gonna murder whoever set those up." Aliote growled as a shard barely missed him, cutting off a strand of hair and further antagonizing the large adjuchas. His patience finally snapped when another slingshot popped out of sand and was promptly blasted by a cero.

"Now...with that out of the way." The hollow shook himself, letting the quartz tree shards fall off. A shame that they were so small, had they been bigger he would have been able to use them as weapons. He sighed in frustration. At least he was closer now.

The cave was within his sight and after a few minutes. He had finally entered it.
