I'm having trouble with the formatting of threads!

Okay, so I'm halfway through a review here and I decide to post the first section to get a real-time view of its formatting - the formatting I've applied isn't being applied to the actual thread, so I've halted progress on my review for now. Can this be fixed, pretty please? :)

Did you use the richtext or the source editor? Like with vbulletin the richtext editor is a nice feature for quick styled text. But it can be wonky on larger replies. It's best to use the source editor for those. It's the right most button on the editor bar.

I selected 'Create a New Thread', and just used the white box it brought me to on the next page. I looked for the advanced editing options but couldn't see the option anywhere so I'm not sure which one I used.
It works fine on this post...

THIS IS A TEST.

If anybody could shed some light as to why it's working on some posts, but not others, that would be fantastic. It seems to be the colorization options that have messed up, but I'll need to know what's going on to continue on with my series :)

Investigating this now. It could be an issue with the wysiwyg editor, but nothing has been definitively determined yet.

Update: So funny enough, the color option for BBCode doesn't exist here (yet). Will have to do some work to get that on here. Also some of the fonts are broken and I'll have to do some work to pinpoint which ones are and either endeavor to remove them from the selection, or install them here on the board. Please standby

That's fine, issues will crop up every now and then, and there are other ways to spruce things up I'm sure. Thanks for the help! Is there a way to turn off the WYSIWYG editor? I prefer fiddling with raw BB code!

There's a button that looks like a sheet of paper. Click that and you'll get the source editor.

Question,

On the old forum there was a nice big bar that had shortcuts to the BB edits. Meaning, you'd click the B button and it would fill in [ b] [ /b] for you. Right now when I go to make a post I have no formatting buttons whatsoever, I have to recall what the BB Code is an type it myself. As I'm writing this post there are no buttons anywhere on this screen. On the right i have a small selection of Smileys to choose from and the text:
BBCode is ON
[img] is ON
[flash] is OFF
[url] is ON
Smilies are ON
Topic review

Is there something I'm missing here in my posts?

Use "Post Reply" instead of the quick reply, or click on the Full editor in the quick reply. That will give access to the WYSIWYG editor.

Disregard my last post. I did exactly what you said, but it's clearly a Work Filter that's working on my Browser. When I access this site from Work some plugins are limited, and it seems the BB Code shortcuts are Flash (Im assuming). I've literally done the "Post" button from both Phone and Personal PC and it looks different than my work Computer, leading me to believe it's my work computer and the security they have in place

I'll make note of that. If you have any more issues feel freee to send a few PMs about it. I'll be closing this thread now.
