[Mission]The Uprising Threat

Aoshi Moved, his Shunpo brought him behind the Bount, but clearly he wasn't fast enough to out maneuver the evil and monstrous looking man. The mansion echoed with Clashes of blades with Aoshi barely keeping up with Metis. "Geki!" With almost no knowledge of any form of swordplay, the 2nd Division vice captain had to switch to what he knew best. Calling out the spell by name only was no great task for the Elvira, but even as his body glowed, it seemed to have no effect on the man he fought.

"Oh come on now, Don't be surprised"..... Metis made a mockery of Aoshi as he knew that he very much stood at an advantage. With all and almost everything working out the way he had intended it to be, the man knew very well that the Shinigami posed almost no threat to his course, or so he thought. With a distain look on his face, Aoshi charged head on towards Metis. He threw his fist forward even though he also had little or no knowledge of Hakuda, but he had to try, he had to do something or else.....

He swung and swung his fists both left and right and all the while failing to hit the target, but then he had a plan, and as he moved his body in a rhythmic pattern, Aoshi suddenly retracted both his hands and then a Large ball of fire shoots out from it. Shakkahō A loud explosion echoed around the building, with smoke and stench of Smoke filling up the air as it moved towards the direction of the wind.

With the dust settled, Metis stood unharmed and unscathed in any way. It was almost as if his skin was impervious to any form of attack. Or at least Aoshi had used only one way of an attack. "Impossible!" Aoshi couldn't believe his eyes. The man standing opposite him had just received a direct hit from a Master in Kidō without any damage. "How?" He asked, still perplexed at what had just happened.

"How?" With a passive look, it was almost as if he had grown bored of the fight, the same old thing. "How am I alive?" He continued while heading for the staircase. He was almost halfway up when he stop to finally address Aoshi's question. "I was made to be the perfect counter to you Death gods....you and your pitiful Kidō " He turned around to look at the terrified look Aoshi wore on his face, it was appealing to his person, to be able to bring one of Gotei 13 highest officials into nothing.

"This is impossible. The possibility of the Bunto race creating an artificial life capable of standing against the likes of Me, there has to be a way to bring him down. He may very well be the first of his kind, to test out if their experiment was a success...... if that's true then there is trouble. He must be brought down. Aoshi concluded. Even though the odds seemed to be out of his favor, he still chose to make his stand.

"Electrify Takemikazuchi!" With his face bent as his grip on his zanpackutō tightened, a burst of electricity sprung forth from his blade, Aoshi became cloaked in blue electricity as well as his zanpackutō.

"Oh so you've finally gotten serious.....Interesting. Come! Shinigami!"

Eight Hours Earlier

A few more people to attend to and Aoshi was done for the day, he dismissed the last Shinigami having gotten the report of the sudden disappearances and disturbances that had slowly started to affect the daily activities within the Soul Society. The first scout he sent did not return upon the stipulated time, and that sent an alarm for the Elvira. He knew something was up, something was a miss, however way the situation may seem, Aoshi was still bent on uncovering the sudden mystery. And so it was at the break of dawn did the Vice captain dispatched another scout, this time two of the highly capable hands.

"Still no word?" He asked placing two fingers below his chin as Aoshi thought of what he would do next. "Maybe it would be best if I go" His conclusion may very well be the best option they had in getting to the root of the matter.

The sun was setting at the East side of Soul Society, with the twilight ever beautiful. The 2nd Division Vice captain was clad in his normal sleeveless Shinigami attire and as usual, his zanpackutō held firmly on his right hand. The journey was a silent one, the usual business running late till midnight and the noise of kids playing around late at night had ceased the moment it was no longer safe for them at night. His foot step came to a stop before a majestic Manor, it would appear that he was at the right place and the sight of the Manor served to prove that he Shinigami was on track.

Inside the house appeared to be like a house placed under a curse. With each step Aoshi took announced his presence, for it was difficult to walk upon a wooden floor without a drop of noise. The door towards the right cracked open as Aoshi pushed his way through to the Hallway.

” So the Gotei 13 finally sends an elite? Interesting” A deep voice called out from the hall. The Elvira halted his movements in response to the mysterious voice that sounded not far from where he stood. His body reacted to where the voice came from, and Metis revealed himself.

"Who are you?" The Elvira asked, his hand placed at the hilt of his sword, for he was ready to strike at moments notice.

"I think your question should be, where are your comrades?" Metis responded back with a question, one that Aoshi had failed to ask. Truth be told, he had intended to raise the question but Aoshi chose the most obvious, find the identity of your enemy and you may know how well to deal with him.

Pleased at the effect his question had on the Vice captain, Metis snapped his finger and the roof above them parted, It would reveal the bodies of the 2nd Division Vice captain's comrades. Each body was badly burnt, scorched and left hanging, multiple strings kept each body hanging and fixed to the roof. It was a deliberate attempt to draw and force Aoshi into committing a mistake, a provocation nonetheless that gave rise to the desirable effect Metis longed for.

He was enraged, it was just a senseless murder, what made the matter way worse was how the sight of blood, death had such a sweet feeling to Metis. Loosing his cool, Aoshi was no more where he stood, his Shunpo brought him directly before Metis. A direct confrontation, a senseless attack which lacked any thought or reason, all that mattered to the Shinigami was death! Death to Metis, death to the man that brought about the sudden death of his men. "Sōkatsu!"

A bright blue light emitted from between Aoshi's palm, a Large wave of energy was released at a point blank range, enough to totally deal a fatal blow to whomever was found unlucky to have been a target. However, Metis stood firm, without having any need to head for safety. With the smoke settled, a puzzled look all but written on the Elvira's face.....It was just not possible... ~How?~

However daunting the result of his foolishness was, Aoshi was brought back to his senses with a back twisted leg kick to the right side of Aoshi's face. The kick had enough force to send even the renowned Vice captain Five meters backwards, coming against the brick wall with his back on full force. Before Aoshi could recover from the initial hit, Metis appeared before him, crouched with both hands tucked back, fisted and lunched forward to Aoshi's midsection, Metis kept lunching barrages of right and left fisted blows at the Elvira, each hit created a crack on the wall.

?You Shinigami claim your above everyone else, but you know what? I was made to put an end to you filthy excuse of a race? He said stepping away from the beaten Vice captain.

Now

The Elvira manipulated the electricity from his zanpackutō and thus he created a cannon born out electricity. Without warning, Aoshi fired off a barrage of large lightning balls that was capable leaving a devastating burn and paralysis. In that split second, Metis changed his form. He became a living rubber. The electricity met with the protest of Metis rubber body and would not give in to the pressure that threatened to lay waste to the Pillars behind Metis.

Metis stood is ground coming out unscathed from the Elvira's attack, he dusted his attire for the dust that may have settled upon him. In a way, it was a mockery for the Vice captain indicating that all his attempts so far has been futile.

Aoshi had grown tired of seeing the man not fall after receiving strong attacks, this time he chose another approach, he ran.

Heading deep into the Manor without the slightest idea as to which direction he went, all he needed to do was to get away from Metis, perhaps with a little or enough space, he may get a little respite in other to regroup. Deep within the Manor laid broken and messed up doors, windows shattered that appeared to be over a centuries old. The chairs torn to bits with rusted hand cushion. Aoshi placed himself behind a weak wall full of cracks and the paints pilled off. A trail of cobwebs ran down his hair as the Vice captain leaned against it to gain balance. He took a deep breath before less visible for the eye to see, in fact he wouldn't be seen by anyone for Aoshi had placed an invisibility spell on himself. ?Kyōkkō? Totally eradicating himself from any reiatsu for he Kyōkkō made it so that anyone attempting to track his movements through reiatsu would find it disappointing. Now all the Elvira had to do was wait.

It was getting dark, darker than it would appear from outside when within the compound, the sun was already calling it a day, and still Aoshi tarried on. If he could out wit the stronger being, then he may still have the chance of getting out of this alive. The Elvira moved, taking his first step since he placed the invincibility spell upon himself, he walked on his toes knowing that at the slightest sound could prove costly.

Metis waited, and waited some more for any sign or trace of the Shinigami, so far_all efforts to track him down had proved to be nothing short of vanity. "So we are going to play hide and seek now? How pathetic" Trying to provoke the Shinigami, Metis smirked knowing full well that his words may have done its intended purpose. He became like a predator stalking his prey, his next victim and let's not also forget, his next meal.

Metis senses were ever alert for the slightest movements, with him already lacing the whole building with boogie traps in preparations for a situation such as the one he was in right now. A fluid flowed down his head, dropping right at the side of his face before spreading over his entire face. His loss of balance was all but expected from a bash to the skull with a wooden chair. Metis dropped to one knee with his hand over his head, he hadn't expected a confrontation like that, he had moved from the predator to the pray in all a matter of seconds.

Right at that Moment, It became clear to Metis that it wasn't about hunting anymore, but for the Shinigami, it was about survival. Aoshi was lucky to have gotten the better of him, but the Bunto wouldn't be making that mistake again.

Before he could get back on his feet, Aoshi blurred past him, cutting his left hand with his zanpackutō cloaking in his reiatsu in form of lightning. "When are you going to ever learn that your lightning has no effect on me?" Metis barked in reaction to the upper part of the left hand of his shirt being cut open. Now he could sense Aoshi's reiatsu, but he still was unable to see, this little give away may prove crucial to the Elvira.

It all boiled down to this very moment, this way a battle that would never be forgotten in a hurry, Aoshi gulped down large saliva down his throat as he positioned himself for the kill. Time was running out, and the spell was getting weaker courtesy of his reiatsu depleting. Aoshi turned off the cloak from his blade, as well as his Shikai. He crept, leaped, and tip toed making sure not to give away his location nor his intention. and with a perfectly timed thrust, his blade tore through Metis Thoracic vertebrae. ?You maybe designed specially to be a weakness to us, but your design was just not good enough" Aoshi said as he pulled out his sword with a gust of blood flowing down the floor like a fountain. His mission was complete, and the Elvira was ready to head home.
