Karakura Town

The world of the Living is the place where Humans reside, and is also called the real world or material world. Here will be where all the humans will be able to move around, and do as they please within whatever area they wish to be. Lurking around the area, unable to be seen or detected, are other races that reside in the same realm as the humans. Shinigami will often visit this area, and Academy students will be in this area more for experience and training.

Karakura Town
Image
Located just west of Tokyo, Japan is the suburban town of Karakura. Within it you'll find schools, parks, libraries, restaurants, and a river.

You may take any elements of these that you wish and use them at your convenience. Here you have a nearly clean state on which to build.

For new players, the purpose of your beginning here is that it gives you the opportunity to show your character's history. You will create a post in which you will display your character's life briefly and then their death and eventual lead into the Soul Society or Hueco Mundo. You must post at least once here. You may include their final days, death, and pass over to the next life in one post or spread it out into multiple. There is no limit to what you may do with it. There are no requirements for length of the post, either.

Role Play

Hidē was raised by his drunkard of an uncle because his parents died in a car accident when he was 5. When he was growing up with his uncle he was instructed to never leave his bed except if he was going to work at the construction site.

One fateful day, his uncle came back home drunk, as usual, and Hidē went to welcome him. As he got to his Uncle's front he was greeted with a series of punches and kicks. In an act of self defense, he grabbed a nearby empty bottle and smashed it on his uncle's head thereby leading to his death. He knelt beside the dead body in shock of what he had done. He was brought back to reality by the sound of sirens outside the house followed by loud bangs on the door. Suddenly the door flew open as a police man with a gun jets in. Hidē tries to escape through the nearest window but is shot dead before he even reaches the window.

After living a considerable amount of time in soul society, he moved to become a shinigami and joined the 2nd Squad.

World of The Living
Karakura Town
Returning The Lost Souls
It was a sunny day all went as usually as it would normally be, The Shinigami had accepted the new rules laid down by their captain a few days back. Although Aoshi wasn't quite fond or rather okey with the first rule seeing as the tall man was so used to going about well equipped and prepared, enforcing such law would prove to be tasking.

He moved his legs like a man almost on a rampage, he was clearly in a hurry and his patience was running out. Aoshi couldn't wait to get to the agreed meeting place he had told Hidē they were to meet. The young recruit was clearly inexperienced and one could tell that he had very much to learn meaning that the sole reason for the mission was to guide, teach and create a path for the kid to follow just like Aniks did for Aoshi when he was but a recruit.

He awaited Hidē's arrival at the Sēnkaimōn gate with the hopes that the man wasn't a slugger as well as was responsible enough to keep to time....The mission was to last for two days and as of the moment Aoshi arrived at the gate it was already clocking towards noon, time was running out.

Return of Lost Souls

Hidē, scribbling down rules being mentioned by the Captain, looks up when he hears his name being mentioned in Conjunction with Aoshi's. He looks at Aoshi as he sighs and rises to his feet. He walks to where the captain was seated and drops the paper with the rules written in them on the table in front of him.
He bows then exits the room.

He arrives at the Senkaimon gate and sees Aoshi waiting for him

"Sorry to Keep you waiting"
He says as he adjusts his Katana

"Your late" He said in response to the young man's apologetic words as he rose slowly to his feet with the support of both hands on his thighs.

In actually sense, this would be the second mission Aoshi was assigned to since joining the Gotei 13. Memories of his last mission and how miserably they failed at accomplishing it came to mind as he walked through the passage leading to the Living world.

On their appearance into the real world, Aoshi noted how large the place was with each building structure outlined in such a pattern. The sky was clear and showing the signs of clear summer climate.

Looking over his shoulder to the left, he saw how their form of movements moving in strange forms something the humans would call automobile. "Hidē get over here" almost in a whisper. He Moved his Zanpakutō over to his left hand so that the weight and load over his right was reduced.

"You understand the mission details right?" He would say should Hidē move closer to his voice range....as he continued on. "This would be a great time to prove your worth. Prove to me you are worth of being a member of the Gotei 13 His lack of empathy was clearly written in his voice. He turned his face to meet Hidē's so he would see the seriousness in his word.

Hidē looks around, absorbing his surroundings. Being here brings back the horrible memories of his former life. He shrugs off the memories because he didn't want anything to distract him on their mission as this was his first mission and he didn't want to screw up.

He walks closer to Aoshi's position when he calls him. There was a moment of silence.

"Yes. Yes, I do"
He says to reply Aoshi's question. He looks out far ahead into the distance while listening to Aoshi.

"Hai"
He says when Aoshi fishes his small speech.

It hurt.

Why did it hurt so much ?

He opened his eye despite the white hot pain coursing through his body.

He saw blood. A lot of blood covering his grey shirt in a large red stain. His body felt heavy and he heard screams and the sound of people running on the background. He tried to stand up but a flash of pain dissuaded him from it. Instead he moved only his head to look around and tried to make sense of what had happened but it seemed something had knocked his glasses off his face for his vision was blurry and all he could see were shapes and colors. And standing over him was a large shadow. It looked like a man judging by his broad shoulders and was an adult given his size. Squinting his eyes, he tried to take a better look at him but could only make out small details like how the man seemed to be holding something on his right hand or the brand of his shirt and that he was wearing a mask, the latter giving him goosebumps.

Time seemed to slow down as the man seemed to notice he was looking at him and raised his hand, pointing at him.

It was a gun.

He froze in place as he came to a revelation. Before his mind had been too fuzzy and so unfocused he couldn't remember what happened. But now, looking at the man, it was all coming back to him.

"You..." He rasped, glaring at the masked figure.

His glare seemed to amuse the man, who just tilted his head as if faced with the most curious thing in the world.

"Me." The man responded before shooting him on the chest.

Once.

Twice.

Thrice.

His life had already ended by the time the first bullet hit, darkness clouding his vision as he felt his very lifeblood leaking away and forming a puddle around his body. He felt that dreadful feeling of numbness crawling over his body. He struggled to draw breath and choked when he felt his lungs fill with liquid. He wanted to scream but all he could do was watch his murderer walk away quietly as his vision faded to black.

The feeling of pain had finally ceased and he felt and odd lightness fill him instead.

As if gravity had stopped working.

He woke up with a start, clutching his chest only to feel nothng, much to his surprise. There was no blood and not a single bullet wound. He sighed in relief.

"What a nightmare..." He grumbled, admonishing himself for falling asleep on the job. And on such an important day too.

The young man stood up and dusted his clothes, feeling very embarrassed for falling asleep and somewhat thankful that nobody had found him. Now that would have been hard to explain. Especially on such an important day.

He took a deep breath and looked round himself. He had apparently fallen asleep on the storehouse next to the gymnasium judging the foldable chairs resting against the walls and the dusty . Well, he had been coming here to help prepare the school for the sports festival. It was one of his obligations as assistant teacher.

Oh well. First he needed a breather.

He was halfway to the door when he felt something tug on his chest painfully. He clutched at it, feeling a chain of all things coming out of his clothes. He tugged at it but stopped when a burning sensation exploded out of his chest, confusing him even further. He turned around, trying to see where the chain led to and stopped cold.

There was a body.

His body, to be exact.

It was a weird experience. To look at your own corpse. At first he thought he was still dreaming and knelt next to the bleeding body. He noticed that he couldn't feel the blood on his feet so that was why he hadn't noticed before. He tried to poke himself, as strange as it sounds, but his hand went through. A shiver went down his spine.

This couldn't be happening.

He tried to touch the floor this time and his entire arm phased through, causing him to jump back in fright.

"Okay this is not happening. Not happening. This is all just a dream." He muttered to himself.

By now the revelation had finally sunk in. He had been killed. Murdered in cold blood by that masked man who had shot him to death and then left him to rot. He swallowed nervously, his eyes burnt with unshed tears as he just stared in shock.

But soon his shock slowly disappeared, making way for a new emotion to take over.

Anger.

No. At this point, angry was not an accurate word to describe how he felt towards the man who had killed him. He was apopletic with rage, furious to a degree he had never experienced in life.

He was absolutely livid!

The first thing he attempted to do was leave the storage area but chain stubbornly held out. The accursed thing seemed to be melded to his body, preventing him from walking too far away from his corpse, which by now had started to stink up the room.

He needed to get out. He needed to warn someone about what happened.

He needed to make that man pay!

And that was when he heard it. The tell tale sound of a gunshot. Muffled as it was, but still recognisable. That man was still here! He was still killing people. That was all he needed to redouble his escape efforts. He ran and pulled at the chain, doing all he could to at least move the body he was chained to.

There was another gunshot, then another, then another.

At this point he had taken to desperately pulling at the chain. And that was when he felt something snap. Both literally and symbolically. He fell on his backside when the chain finally gave away but the excitement was short lived as he felt both his body and soul burning up and eroding. His screams of pain went unheard and his metamorphosis unnoticed. His screams soon became muffled and a large shockwave shook the entire town.

The storehouse had exploded.

"RROOOOOOOOOWWWWWAAAAAAR!!!"

And a hollow had been born.

"Can you perform the technique to transfer the souls that wonder around over to Soul society?" Aoshi knew that there was no way in hell a recruit would know such technique but he asked anyway. Without saying much, he moved over to the other side of the road mindful of the cars that passed by even though he was in his spirit form.

Looking over his shoulder, he motioned for Hidē to catch up with him less he get lost, and it was funny that the man that lead the recruit had little or no idea of where he was heading to but his senses was focused on the slightest emission or give away of reiatsu, something that would mean his conclusion of his mission.

They had probably walked for hours without having much luck in getting at least one soul. The frustration began to sip in into his mind as they were yet to achieve their goal and then it hit him. A reiatsu not too strong but strong enough moved along the East side of the town, it hard the smell of hunger and a sense of evil intent. A Hollow cornered its prey, a poor harmless soul on the run.

However Aoshi delayed his pursuit for a brief moment, thinking it wise to put the recruit into action. It was a pleasant way to test the strength of Hidē and from what Aoshi had sensed, that was no ordinary Hollow, intact it was strong enough to pose a challenge to a 20th seat Junior officer almost of the same strength level of a recruit a run for his money.

"Hidē? He began. "Do you sense that?" Aoshi asked an obvious question, a test to see how on guard the man was. If his answer was a positive answer Aoshi would go ahead to give him his first training lesson and which would include the man going down to the East side of town as fast as possible to confront the Hollow before it gets the chance to consume the soul. "Go defeat the Hollow and wait for my arrival".

He said as Aoshi began to head towards the opposite direction. He paused his movement halfway before turning back to face Hidē with a more serious look on his face...."And Hidē keep the soul safe till I come". He said as he resumed his movement.

Close. He was close.

After he burst out of the storehouse like a bat out of hell he had immediately given chase to the dirty rat who had put a bullet on his heart. At this point he didn't care about the consequences. he would find the masked man and he would tear out his heart before feeding it back to him. After the building where his body had been collapsed, the murderer had fled the scene on a motorcycle.

He had immediately given chase.

It didn't register on his mind that he had been keeping up with a motorcycle ever since. He didn't care about that. All he wanted was to keep the man on his line of sight and not let him escape.

Unbeknownst to him, his body had started shifting the moment he managed to snap the strange chain. He had become taller and skinnier, his hands becoming claws and his face being covered by a mask made of a strange bone-like substance shaped like the skull of a bear by with horns pointing upwards while his hair had grown out and become a spiky mane of fur.

"You won't escape!"

The hollow growled as his prey drove into an abbandoned building, most likely a parking lot. The man had finally stopped running away.

Now it was time for revenge.

Sent on a mission by a secret organization to silence a loud mouthed high class man. Midori decides to set out at night to complete his mission.
Taking a walk to the targets location Midori walks past the banks of a lake. It was a thick forest but the light of the moon glittered on the lake, reflecting beautifully. This caught Midori's attention. He halted and almost like he was in a trance, began walking towards the lake.
It was beautiful. Unlike anything he had seen before. Funny as this lake opened Midori's mind to the beauty of the world. He was dumbfounded. Standing in front of it with his left hand resting on the hilt of his katana. A cool breeze blew across the lake and through Midori. Pushing his Dark coloured sleeveless kimono. It fluttered in response to the breeze. And also revealed the presence of a figure behind him. Midori couldn't see the figure or sense the presence because he was lost in space. The immediate awareness drove Midori to go in for an attack.

In a flash Midori threw his right hand to grab his sword and spinning to his right side pulls it out to take off the person's head. He stops immediately the blade reaches the neck of the figure as he realises it was a woman.
Young and beautiful, and in her early 20's. Midori paused with two hands grabbing his katana and him genuflecting from the spin. Staring into the eyes of the woman who stared back as she stood without any reaction.
He immediately jumped back and bowed in an apologetic manner
"I'M SORRY! FORGIVE MY RUDENESS!!!"
She was startled but Midori slowly raised his head as he began to hear her chuckle.

*still laughing* "Scaredy cat" she replied.

"Uhmm.... It's not that.... I just..."

She slowly shook her head. "It's Ok. It's completely normal to be alert, especially during times like this"

She walks past Midori who was still bowing and tapped his shoulder as she walked towards the lake.

"It's beautiful isn't it?"

"It truly is..."

"You know. I come here once in a while to clear my mind. Most of the time I'm here anyways. I must say I'm in love with the place. There used to be a story. About two lovers getting killed here and dying in each others arms and how the tears of the woman is the cause of the constant glitter in the lake. It's a truly touching story fitting for this place. I see this place as a place of redemption for lost souls and injured spirits"

Both were now staring at the lake. Midori behind the woman and the woman closer to the banks. Midori could see the woman slowly bend down to play with the water. She was young and beautiful. Yet her words stuck to him. It made him reflect more on his existence. This made him remember the task he had. Turning to leave he says.

"I have a place to be now... I do hope we meet here again..."

The Lady turned in surprise as she didn't expect that from the man. Her expression slowly turned into a smile accompanied with a soft nod.

"It's Unohana... Unohana Akatsuki"

He didn't expect that in the least bit. She was free and open hearted and this was the kind of person Midori had never met in his life.
"Huh??.... Oh..... Midori... Midori Arekusanda."
He dashed back into the woods to complete his tasks.

Since that day Midori began heading to that stream for the beauty and specifically to meet the young lady he had met. They became close friends and almost instantly lovers. She was also aware he was an assassin and told him to prove his love by leaving that life. Midori abandoned the organization he worked under and concentrated on her.
The organization sent spies who then discovered them.
In order to make him pay. They sent a barrage of assassins to kill them both. Midori could only fend a few for they appeared like an army they were both eventually killed. He died without remorse as he knew this day would come.

As he neared death after both were stabbed through the torso. He could feel her cold palm run down his face. Midori was at peace knowing that they would both go together. This was atonement for the crimes he had committed and he was prepared to face punishment.

His eyes opened wide as he realized it was day time. Everything looked beautiful yet different. It was brighter and more colourful. He felt a bit light too. He seemed to be in a different location. He called out to his wife but couldn't find her. The area he appeared in seemed to be a forest with an open field where Midori stood.
He heard her call him back though softly. It came from the woods. He dashed in and as he ran he noticed a severed chain hanging from his chest. He was confused. He tugged at it and this caused him serious pain.
Abandoning it he continued to sprint through the woods only to appear in another open field where he found his wife. But she was backing him. He shouted her name but she didn't reply. Slowing down and  Coming closer he realised a difference in her. Something was off...

"Unohana?"
She slowly turned her head to reveal a plain mask on her face. He didn't understand and soon began to walk backwards as her stance changed. Soon her size grew and body elongated into a wolf like shape.

It was a monster. A huge monster. A real monster. Like the monster you hear in stories. Things of pure terror. It let out a loud roar as it began to walk towards Midori. Midori began to dash back in the direction he came taking occasional glances back to find the thing in its original position.
It was like it was giving him a head start, taunting its prey. It was horrifying.
As Midori looked forward while running the creature appeared a few meters away, Midori stumbled and fell forward. He began to slowly move backwards as the beast slowly moved forward.
He felt this was the end. He covered his face as it was about to pounce only to hear a shreik.

Slowly opening his eyes he saw a figure with a black kimono holding a long katana. A tall male. He had slain the beast. All alone. With one weapon. He couldn't comprehend.

The man turned and walked towards him who was still mute with jaws still open.
The man in black didn't wait for him to talk as he placed the butt of his sword on his forehead. Soon after, everything around him turned white.

The Human World
Karakura Town (By The River)
The Final Hours Of The Silent Wind
Free your mind, and look into the dark. In the depths of the dark night the shadows move around, hovering and waiting for the right time to dive. Become one with your mind and kill the fright, the silent wind fears no night.

These were the only words Diego could subconsciously hear as his body drifts across the gentle stream, the words of a mentor once dear to him. "What were his words hinting at?" He would wonder as he gently drifts away into the dark depths of the stream.

“Master Miles……..Master Miles!!!” a voice both manly and calm called out, jolting Diego’s consciousness back to reality.

“Master Miles, The Emperor summons”.

“Ooh I see”, the pale Human calmly murmured as he swims across the river and unto the shore.

Half-naked and wet, the pale human stood 5ft tall with black shoulder length hair drizzling water unto his back. Gently and calm, like a blind man trying to adjust his trajectory, Diego made his way to a pile of well folded cloths rested on-top a spotless bolder.

The 6ft muscular brunet who had summoned the drowning man could only watch and observe in silence as he puts on his gears. He would watch him cover his scar and tattooed skin with his black coats, one which was similar to his. “What was he thinking, free diving this time of the night” the brunet pondered with a heavy heart. This however was not his only worry, His mission today made such matters trivia, and as such left him all shaken up and scared. The Death of the silent wind had been demanded by the brotherhood and it was left to him to carry out the execution.

With each strapped in buckle Diego could almost tell what his student was thinking, the silence in the air and a slight increase in his heart beat had piqued his interest, making him wonder what would make such an enthusiastic student though older than him keep silent. However, he can only be 15% certain as the heart can waver even at the most insignificant of all matters.

What bothers you Callypso, why so silent?

“Nothing master” the brunette quickly intoned in a manner both suspicious and childlike. This single act even bothered Diego the more as he could already smell a rat, “are you sure?” he questioned again this time with more focus on his hearing ability, cause if anything was up Callypso’s response and heart beat would give him away. This was one of his specialties, an ability he honed to survive the though organization he found himself in.

Callypso was also well aware of this trait. A blind man who had risen to the rank of master at the age of 10 barely 5 years after joining the brotherhood. Everyone knew his tales, everyone knew what he was capable off, yet no soul has ever passed his barricades except the emperor himself. Callypso knew this much and still accepted the quest, even though he had little to no say in it.

"Well I was wondering, do you want to drown yourself, why do you keep submerging yourself into water so late at night? your hearing capabilities are highly dampened when submerged in one, but yet"...

Diego listened to Callypso’s response with his right hand already at the pommel of his Kodachi while his left hand loosely pres down on the right. Surprisingly, Callypso’s voice barely wavered nor his heart leap. It was all cool and settled as if a great burden was lifted from him.
Settling down his own guard Diego drew a smile and with a calm voice he replied, "I do this to free up my mind, something you should learn to do once in a while".  “Come on let’s go meet Lord Cartez, he doesn’t like being kept waiting”.

The two immediately vanished into the night and made their way north towards the hidden empire.

He reached halfway down the alley when he suddenly came to a halt. It had been a feeling building up within him, creeping in like a shadow, hanging around his conscious mind. Maybe Hidē may not be up to the task, maybe it was a mistake leaving the soul in the recruit's hands. Aoshi knew that all these meant that he had very little trust for the young man.

However, his choice to follow up behind the recruit may yet prove to be the right call, and so he turned brushing aside a tin can that lay beside him and the cold breeze dancing across his face as he took in its warmth he vanished.

It took few steps aided with his superior Shunpo to bring him close enough to brush aside the wandering soul saving it from getting ripped to shreds by the Hollow's paws.

"I was right! Where is that kid?" He referred to Hidē as a kid while searching around for a little trace of the young man's presence. His reiatsu was visible in Aoshi's mind but its owner was not where he was asked to be.

"Hadō #33 Sōkatsūi Blue flames discharge from Aoshi's right palm, as he aimed his right palm at his target(The Hollow) and it generated a torrent of blue energy
before firing it at the angry looking beast. The energy moved like a direct blast or a large wave of energy as it made directed impact at the Hollow.

The blast was strong enough to leave a devastating blow to the Hollow as it groaned in pain before finally giving up its fight for survival. The soul hid behind a building watching from a safe distance as the strange Shinigami lay waste to his attacker. He trembled in fear when Aoshi turned his focus to him. The Elvira man walked slowly counting his step as he did and then slowly taking out his Zanpakutō in a reverse grip style, and without a smile on his face, he placed the hilt of his Zanpakutō to the forehead of the Soul and thus completing it's transmission to soul society.

His mission was now complete, but the recruit was yet to be found. Aoshi thought about starting out a search for the man but decided against it, the mission was complete and that was all that mattered to the 5th seat.

The crackle of pure electricity resonates through the glum clouds, meanwhile a senkaimon appears and its doors open fully to reveal a swarm of black winged insects(Jigokucho)

Behind them was seraph, his demeanour as cold as usual.

He stepped forward, then directed his gaze beneath him
( he was standing on a translucent platform apparently)relishing the Scenery of the place.

A glimmer of light flash past his crimson pupils.

"Where do I start......" Said seraph in whisper

After spending an ample amount of time in the city of Karakura,he opts to return to the seireitei.
what prompted this was the appearance of a set of jigakucho that bore a message known only to him.
Owing to this,he unsheathed his katana and wedges it into thin air, then, tilts it in the same manner as one would twist a door knob(if one wanted a door opened)thus causing the doors of a typical Japanese waiting room to first manifest, before sliding apart for him to enter.

Seraphs's elegant back figure is seen, meanwhile,he pulls his hood backwards, revealing his bright golden hair prior to the said doors shutting behind him
(The senkaimon closes)

It was a cold night around the southern parts of Karakura Town. The cold wind blows gently with a certain rythm to it, carrying around dried up leaves plucked from nearby trees unto the streets. The night was lit by a full moon, making the streets look as bright as day and the dark clouds moved gently below it. The Shinigami; Kizaru, patrolled these streets, making sure it was free from any hollow disturbances.
As Kizaru walked past several buildings, he often gets a blurred view through windows of families having dinner, of parents putting their children to sleep, and sometimes, overhear arguements from couples and siblings from inside the house.

"Ehhh....Humans are very strange -neee. They fight over silly things, the kids needs stories to go to sleep..... (sigh) Strange -neee."

Kirazu spoke softly to himself as he walked down the empty street. He began to feel tried and decided to take a quick stop under a huge Mangrove tree he saw nearby. He sat on its large roots and laid his back on the tree. He took off his glasses and wiped his eyes with the back of his left arm. He hanged his glasses on the front chest side of his Shihakusho and took off the Zanpakutou on his back, placing it right next to him on the roots of the Mangrove tree. He placed both of his palms at the back of his head, with his right-hand palm directly on the back of his head and his left-hand palm on the right hand, pressed against the tree.

As the gentle wind blows and dried leaves fall slowly from the tree, the thought of the "strange" human way of life crossed his mind. He began to wonder if he lived the same way when he was human.

Kizaru had lost his memory of his human life and most part of his life as a soul due to an accident that happened in Rukongai. Zephyr; the person who took care of him, did not tell him what happened and said he was better off not knowing, told him to never speak of it again. Sometimes, he wonders if his name really is "Kizaru". Kizaru often tries to remember what happened for himself but fails everytime he tries. He had promised Zephyr not to think of it, but sometimes, it just can't be helped.

"(sigh) There's no point dwelling in the past I guess. The present is what matters -neee. Well, I guess I've had enough rest for now."

Kizaru got up on his feet, picked up his Zanpakutou with his left hand and put his glasses back on.

"I should head back to Seireitei -neee. Hopefully, I'll get the chance to see the Captain this time...."

Kizaru slowly pulls out the Zanpakutou on his right hand with his left. He slowly thrusts the blade forward, completly stretching his left arm forward and then turned the Zanpakutou to the left thesame way as one would use a key to unlock a door. The tip of his Zanpakutou began to fade as a white aura in the shape of a door began to emit around it.

"Open."

Kizaru opened a Senkaimon and prepared to use it to return to Seireitei once it was fully open.

The Human World
Karakura Town (By The River)
The Final Hours Of The Silent Wind

Walking down the empty streets of Karakura town, Diego felt the gentle wind caress against his puffy cheek, and his barely dried hair drizzle water on-top his black leather coat. This he would have naturally stopped or dried off, but a call had been made, one he could not neglect nor delay. With a slight sigh, his worries became that of the past allowing him to pay attention to the quest ahead. "Come on Callypso lets pick up the pace" He quickly blurted, in an attempt to call into attention the urgency of their motives.

As soon as the command was made, the two men quickly resorted to running and easily made their way from one street to another through hidden ally’s and tunnels, most of which were well mapped out paths only known to the brotherhood. In a matter of minutes, the two individuals made their way to a hill top, located a few kilometers away from the city.

Tall standing tress lined out as far as the eye could see with its roots protruding from the soil. "Great we are almost home" Callypso exclaimed on getting to the hill top seconds after Diego, who had for some unknown reason, stopped at his track after getting there. "Come on let’s go master", the tall brunette uttered before dashing forth into the woods. He quickly applied a break to his movement on seeing the blind knight hesitance to his vibe, he clearly had no intention of moving forward, and this brought up a lot of concerns for the young brunette.

“What’s the matter master, why the hesitation?”  The young brunette quickly asked in a frenzy on seeing Diego's hand drift down to the pommel of his blade.

Filled with disappoint and shame, the blind knight wore a frown on his face on hearing his subordinate ask such question. [Wasn’t he paying much attention or was he that dumb] he wondered as he pulled out the full length of his blade.

"What’s the matter Sensei?" the young brunette inquired once again, only this time, his hand was also headed to his sword. The young apprentice knew something was up and would slightly tremble in fear and attempt to soliloquizes on what the matter could be [Could he have found out my plan for him? Did I give away my intent by mistake?  If not that then what?]  he knew quite well his master was unto something on watching  him assume a battle pose. However not knowing what the matter was would have trails of Sweat dropping down the brunettes cheek while he attempts to make space between him and the blind knight.

with a single  step backward Diego would quickly react by jolting forward "Why the sudden panic", He would inquire with anger coursing through his voice. He would quickly overlap his tall apprentice and intercept two arrows intended for the young man’s shoulder, this he would skillfully achieve by simply swaying his blade back and forth. Without further delay, he would immediately draw unto his second Kodachi making sure to rip it free from its sheath.

[What's next] He would wonder as he tries to get a good feel of his immediate environment. With another slight sigh Diego would express his disappointment towards Callypso, who's recent state of panic had started bothering him. With his sword still sheathed and his guard filled with a lot of openings, Diego would only wonder if he really had a death wish. With just a spoken word “Stand your ground boy or I cut off your head” the young apprentice would gain back his composure and immediately guard himself as required of him. He would grab unto his sword and pull it out of its sheath only to toss it around in his unique way from one hand to the other.

With a slight nod and a broad smile stretching along the blind knight face, Diego would commend his apprentice over his new-found composure, “about time” he would silently mutter as he redirects his attention towards the invading personalities.

Not wasting more time, the two went at what seemed to be a couple of ten samurais from the Edo Era, hacking and slashing them down as quickly as they came. However with every successful kill two more would take their place.

The blind knight felt joy warm up his heart with each new kill he made, it was a thing of joy to finally put his skills into good use after a few years of inactivity, but this was not same for his apprentice. The young lad, had consistently slashed, torn and drilled his way across a few of the Samurai and was now losing stamina at a rapid rate. His maneuvers more predictable and his breath grew heavier and heavier with each passing second, Diego could only but observe, as he himself would admit their foe wasn’t without skill. it was indeed hard for a master level like him to keep up and as such wouldn’t expect much from Callypso.

Hours passed and the two individuals found themselves back to back with each other, in a circle of what would appear to be a hundred men. They were both worn out and already battered with bruises and cuts riddling their body. Clothed in rags and blood, Diego would cough out more blood as he eventually takes a knee. [What was all this] he would wonder as he tries to picture how such a huge number of men could have all gathered so close to their fortress without setting off any trap.

Driven by curiosity Diego would quickly inquire the source of their command, “who sent you?”  he would mutter to the hearing of the closest man around. However as expected, no reply was offered. The blind knight would stand to his two feet and this time with a loud tone the words "who sent you" would echo throughout the herd of men. However, before the echoing sound would douse down, the blind knight would feel a cold sword stab into him from the back till it pierced through his rib-cage and out from his chest. "I did" a familiar voice would mutter in return sending Diego into a quick shock. His mind and thoughts would attempt to pinpoint who the voice could belong to, something he already knew but was in total denial. With no hint of regret nor remorse Calypso would continue his utterances as he slowly pulls his sword out from Diego’s back, “Master,,,,, Master,,,, Master, don’t take this personal. You see, I was only obeying the emperor orders". A sharp burst of laughter would quickly echoed through the woods, laying to waste the silence that comes with the night. The raging sound would continue for a while and will gradually reduce  with the  dwindling number of samurais, making their way to whatever cave they crawled out from. However Calypso would still stand put and watch the final moment of the man he once called master. A treasure to behold knowing fully well, hes new seat as master can only start after the death of Diego.

The blind knight feeling himself gradually fade into the dark would attempt a comment or two, but would only find himself spurting out blood from his mouth each time he tries. Overwhelmed by the pain of betrayal and the physical pain from the sword stab, his feet would immediately give out causing him to crash under his own weight and into his pool blood.

[What was it all for] he would imagine, as his consciousness drifts down memory lane. He would clearly remember killing his own master and wonder if he really deserved any less than what he got. With his mind going through the events of his past, the blind knight would fade into the darkness only to awaken in chains and bond, in a room harboring no doors nor windows.
A new world un-explained.

Born into a polygamous family, Reiner was the middle child and was always neglected by his parents even when he needed then the most, this made him to run away from home and went to live with a fisherman who took proper care of him and taught him how to read and write and to cater for himself, when he became a teenager, his adopted father died of a widespread plague at that time while he was away, consumed by grief, he never buried the body but kept eating with him and taking him down to the stream to watch him fish, on one occasion, the body fell into the fireplace and got destroyed. The boy, eaten with sorrow decided to end himself along with everyone he once cared about so he left for his family's house and slaughtered every one of them before taking his own life.
