High in the cold mountains located at the far ends of the 2nd Division's training grounds...lie a long forgotten arena, drenched in blood of warriors fallen, and frozen ice falling from the sky not far above. Rumor has it that the most powerful warriors once used it as their play ground and fallen souls still reside as ghouls, they mind their business once ignored. However, do not be deceived, they shapeshift, usually as hyenas to lure unsuspecting individuals to secret places to kill and devour them.

Midori performed a couple of pre-match routine stretches, like a Gymnast about to perform. Making every bone in his body snap and loosen up as he twists, bends and squat's.
He hadn't gone on a mission or sparred in a while and was pretty bummed to get one. However, the choice of locations was quite a case. It was a place Midori liked to call "Arena Del Diablo"[Devil's Arena]. It was a name that described the frightening nature of the arena. The crooked and angular structures, the subtle light drizzle of ice gave the arena chilling feel aside from the temperature. The icing on the cake were the takes of dead warriors and lost souls seeking vengeance. Cases of missing people and unusual death. It was a weird taste. The kind that would make the officials of Jigoku blush. But now wasn't the time to be worried about trivial matters. These were his exact thoughts as he heaved a sign that gave off his determination. Placing his left hand on the hilt of Norowareta the shinigami strolls through the entrance of the devil's playground to face the challenge ahead.

Shall we then?

Well I dont have much to say here seeing as you did well incorporating a nicely defined description of the arena and surrounding. You however left little to no detail about what your character looks like. Always try to put as much detail as you can about the important stuff so long as you dont swam your post with it. Introduction is fine but seeing as you skipped it there's nothing bad about that.

In essence, I saw your spar with Hikaru and Aoshi and your attacks were somewhat lacking, I would like to see you at your best here and add what I will, your character is interesting and powerful, I want to see some cool action.
The sun rose to glisten over a massive figure of over 6.5ft covered in a knee length, black, fur coat, boots and pants, which stood amidst the eerie arena_large enough to match a football field in comparism. It was the herculean Vice-Captain of the 2nd Division, Darius Lohr, in a place he was rather familiar with... quite easily could be called his spot... for many have suffered his wrath here as he too did in times past.

Time however, has provided yet another use for this haunted place, cold and high reaching, it was suited for the testing of one's resolve. Despite the ghostly beings parading the site, a promising Junior Officer of the 2nd needed to prove himself worthy of the title; assassin. For now, he certainly was not, until proven otherwise. Once achieved, he would learn the true rudiments of assassination, and failure would cast him aside like the countless souls before him, no mercy, no salvation, only destruction.

They havent had the pleasure of aquaintance but this was hardly the time for such nitty gritty. The dark skinned boy not too far below Darius in height and clad in a sleeveless Shihakusho stepped into the arena with impressive confidence, much like the rest before him who've fallen, his success however, was totally up to him. The herculean man observed the boy who spoke some words from a distance, "shall we then?" and almost instantly, it loosened the surpressed aggression the Vice-Captain tried so hard to keep in check, spiking his Reiatsu sharply and letting off a grin that signified the offset of something sinister much like a mad dog. Most would think him to be mad. This however, was shortlived as he fought the voices in his head till he regained control over them. Pointing straight at the boy with his massive right hand and deadly intent, he yelled in a deep, resonating tone, You have one chance, attack in whatever manner you will, it may be your last.

The Shinigami stood in the distance. Dark attire and hulking figure lending him the aura and feel of a phantom haunting the area. He was intimidating. Both in height and figure. He was the vice-captain of the 2nd.
A sudden burst of reiatsu felt like a wave crashed through Midori, Forcing him to position himself properly in order not to fall off. It was heavy, thick, terrifying. He was practically bullied. It was short lived but for a moment he could roughly see a red skull form around The shinigami.

Darius Lohr. A true shinigami of terrifying prowess. This was a test Midori would have to pass through to be considered a true member of the 2nd. To be worthy of being a member of the Stealth Force.

He braced himself. A bit crouched as he had finally regained balance with a slight grimace on the dark Shinigami's face as the force had an obvious solid effect on his confidence.

The man slowly raised his arm in a threatening manner and pointed at him. The junior officer.
His words signified a head start but also a show of confidence. It was a test but the Vice knew he couldn't do any much damage as any other. Or so he thought.

Tch. Haaaaai... Taicho... Reach through the heavens and latch onto the crescent moon...

The slight sarcasm in his tone with eyes fixated on his Vice Captain who was now his opponent. Midori begins a sluggish sprint accelerating every two or three steps.

The demons rejoice as the heavenly bodies wail...

Pulling out his zanpakuto with its scabbard out of his sash from his left side of his hip and maintaining a crouching position as his sprint becomes a dash.

Now tangle, reveal and destroy.....

Applying shunpo, he moves behind his opponent after coming a few meters. Maintaining a distance of 4ft between him and his opponent. Now crouching lower almost genuflecting he takes his sheathed zanpakuto to his right side with each hand holding each end.

NOROWARETA...

his zanpakuto now glowing light green as he swings it from below towards his opponents back.

Unmei no Shiruku: [Fated Silk]

With the momentum of his swing he sends out a string of reiatsu capable of slicing and inflicting cuts, accompanied by the blade of his now fully formed Scythe.

One thing you should consider since your release command is this long especially against a stronger opponent would be to either recite it quickly or recite it behind some kind of protection, reason being that most people wont wait for you to finish before launching an attack or in a dire situation where you need to call out your Zan. Well, nice attempt though it was a very simple attack, you might want to add distractions with your environment or Kido spells in such times when your opponent is clearly stronger. All else seems to be in order.

The power weighed him down but the boy persisted with every ounce of willpower he could muster just to avoid kneeling completely as the Vice-Captain briefly flared his Reiatsu. He succeeded when he found balance in a crouching position with his hand on his Zanpakuto beside him. The Vice-Captain relaxed his arm as the ambitious deathgod began a slow steady increase in pace towards him. 'That's it,' said the man in black as the boy charged onwards.

A rather long chant escaped his lips since the genesis of his dash, it was obviously his release command, a bit too lengthy most would think, but could anything really be done. He pulled out his Zanpakuto from his sash and applied the very technique the 2nd Division was notoriously popular for...the Shunpo. His movement was swift yet slow, to the Vice-Captain there was hardly a difference but the effect he sought was further made null by the annoying amount of time he spent before initiating his attack. The Vice-Captain wouldn't move however, patiently waiting to see what his protege had install.

Following his movement by sight, the boy halted his dash behind Darius in a bent position while uttering a final word "Norowareta." A powerful string of Reiatsu however, burst forth from his blade which now took the shape of a rather long scythe, it came at Darius in a vertical slash and it came with force, at least enough to slice through a boulder. None of this occured before a Reiatsu build up of a green glow in his Zan signifying the readiness to strike.

Viewing all this with the corner of his eye, Darius would step his left foot back as though giving way for someone to pass, and before him_the sharp string of Reiatsu would rush past him in a nigh silent swish sound, carrying a strong gust of wind with it as it did. Even his fur coat danced briefly in accordance.

'Too slow.' The left index finger of the Vice-Captain would be facing the genuflecting boy at this time blasting out a powerful kinetic force towards his right shoulder, it carried half of its full power but still enough to accomplish its sole purpose of inducing excruciating pain upon the target. However, the natural effect of this spell most know as Sho_would also take place to push him back a few feet if it hits.

At the point of fire, a large pile of earthen pillars would collapse not too far behind the Vice-Captain as a result of the boy's earlier attempt to hurt him.

As expected from his captain class opponent. It was futile. His zanpakuto rushed pass him as he gave way, sending the twists based attack a distance away, forcing the dark coat of the man to flutter rapidly as the string of reiatsu sliced the remains of a pillar upfront. Midori wasn't surprised watching his attempt rendered useless. He was searching for an opening with the opportunity he was given.
His opponent without looking back reported his slow movement, accompanied by an outstretch of his arm pointing towards Midori.
Left with no chance to think, he dashed sideways from his crouching position, behind the outstretched arm and his left side pointing to his opponent. The force released from the man's finger tips brushed pass his exposed arm, lifting the dust from the ground that was behind Midori.
Mid-air, Lifting Norowareta high he brings it down with as much immense force as he could muster to boost the speed of the slice, aiming to decapitate the entire arm pointed at him.

Darius watched to see the boy's response as he fired off the kinetic force from his finger. In a rather impressive manuever, the boy ducked sideways towards his right for the force to sweep past his left shoulder. At the moment he would be behind the Vice-Captain's outsretched arm and immediately, he would kick off the earth and make a downward swing of his Zanpakuto once again towards the arm that threatened him.

The Vice-Captain however, would shape his left arm into a blocking stance as the boy's scythe came down upon it. Just before contact the blade would be met with a dense wall of Reiatsu above the herculean man's bent arm, a Kidou spell whose name and incantation where abandoned to save time and deal with the incoming threat, a Bakudou spell popularly known as Enkosen.

The strike was met with a powerful wall Reiatsu but it was far from over, Darius would once again test his skill to improvise as his right hand would find its way towards the boy's midsection at great speed, but before contact, a spiralling tornado-like wind would erupt from his palm in large quantity, threatening to blast the eager protege over a great distance and out of the ring entirely. If successful, the boy would suffer from not just the force the wind packed which was terrifying, but also the risk of falling from the great mountain which would inevitably lead to a good number of broken bone structures in his body as he'll be forced to climb the tall hills back into the arena.
1) Bakudou 39: Arc Shield (Enkosen)-Summons a shield of condensed Reiatsu to block opponents' attacks.

2) Hadou 58: Orchid Sky (Tenran)-A widening tornado-like blast is fired towards the target.
